Returns & Exchange Policies

In-Stock Products

Items that are available in-store, or on our website are generally considered "In Stock" items. This policy excludes items listed as ineligible for return, such as special order and custom order products. Please review our list of ineligible products for details.

In-stock items may be exchanged or returned for store credit only, subject to a 25% restocking fee.

If you wish to return an item, you must notify Hampton House within 7 days of your in-store purchase or receiving the shipped item(s).

All returns on in-stock items must be pre-approved by Hampton House, please email hamptonhouserva@gmail.com for your return authorization information.

If you are making a return via mail, shipping fees are non-refundable. Any store credit issued will be valid for 1 year from the date of issue. 

Any item(s) for return must be sent back to the address below in original and unused condition with the original packaging and packing slip and/or sales receipt. Items must be well-packed; additional packaging may be necessary.

Items Ineligible for Return

Items from the following product categories are ineligible for return:

  • Furniture
  • Art
  • Mirrors
  • Lamps
  • Rugs
  • Seasonal & Holiday Items
  • Sale Items
  • Custom Order Items (e.g. monogrammed glassware)
  • Special Order Items (e.g. Herend China)

Special Order Items

Many of our fine China and crystal products items are not available in stock and must be ordered from one of our partners. These items are considered “Special Orders.”

You may adjust or cancel your order for 3 business days after placing your order. Please respond to your confirmation email or call us to adjust or cancel your order. 

After 3 business days, except in certain extenuating circumstances, Special Orders generally cannot be canceled and cannot be returned for credit or a refund.

Custom Order Items

Certain products we sell may be customized based on a customer’s specifications. These items are considered “Custom Orders.”

When placing Custom Orders that require additional information, such as monogram lettering or color preferences, please indicate the specific information in the “Order Special Instructions” section on your checkout page. 

Due to their unique and personalized nature, Custom Order products are final sales and cannot be canceled, returned, or exchanged for merchandise or store credit. 

Damaged or Defective Products

While we take every effort to ensure your products are shipped with care, we understand that on occasion a product may arrive damaged or defective.

In order to process a damage claim, please provide photos of the damaged item(s) and original packaging to hamptonhouserva@gmail.com to process the damage claim within 7 days of receiving the item. Please also provide your name, address, and phone number.

Once your damage claim is approved, we will send you a return shipping label and return authorization information.
