Frequently Asked Questions
How will I receive my gifts?
Hampton House offers two options for receiving registry gifts:
- Receive Gift Registry Credit: As gifts are purchased, the value of each gift will accrue on a gift card. After your wedding or event, you can review your registry and apply your credits to purchase your most-loved items from your registry. We recommend this option for all registries.
- Receive Gifts As They Are Purchased: Hampton House will order registry items as they are purchased. Items may be shipped at cost or held at Hampton House for pickup. Please note, special-order gifts are not eligible for refund or store credit.
How will I know when someone purchases a gift from my registry?
Every time a gift is purchased for you, we will send you an email or bridal card in the mail that will describe the item(s) that have been selected for you and will include the personal message from the gift giver.
You can also find a record of all purchases from your registry in the 'Orders' section of your registry profile.
Who has made a purchase from my registry? Can I get a list of their names?
Absolutely. A list of the gifts that have been purchased and the names of the purchasers can be found in the 'Orders' section of your registry profile at any time.

How is Registry Credit calculated? What happens if a gift item changes price?
Registry credit is the total dollar amount of all gifts purchased from your registry, less the value of any gifts you have received in person.
Because many of our items are special order, prices are subject to change as per our suppliers. We honor the prices quoted at the time a gift is purchase, regardless of when they are officially ordered from our suppliers.
This means:
- If a guest purchases a gift from your registry before a price increase, you will be charged the original price for that item.
- If you are looking to complete your registry at the 10% discount after a price increase has occurred, you will be quoted the current price.

What do I do when I'm ready to collect my registry items?
When you are ready to decide on how to spend your Gift Registry Credit you can contact us to set up a redemption appointment with us at our store.
We also suggest you take an inventory of any physical gifts you may have received that will affect your redemption, as guests occasionally purchase items from registries in-store.
While some items may be in stock, many of our fine China products are custom orders and may take anywhere from 3-12 weeks to arrive. If these items will require shipping, please leave us a forwarding address.
When will my items be ready for pick up?
While some of your final selections may be in stock and ready for you to take home, in most cases we will need to order your items for pick up or shipping at a later date.
What if I decide I don't want an item that is purchased from my registry?
If you have decided to receive your registry gifts as a gift card, we will leave the value of the unwanted item in your account and it can be applied to another item from your registry or Hampton House.
For this reason, we recommend receiving registry gifts as credits and scheduling a registry redemption appointment to finalize your gift selection, as many of our items are special order and cannot be returned.
Can I purchase registry gifts in-store?
Yes, we can help you find and purchase a gift from a registry in-store.
However, many of our fine China products are special order and may not be in stock. If you would like to have a physical gift to present, contact us for purchasing recommendations.
How should I direct people to my gift registry?
Gift registries can be shared via link. The link to your registry can be found in the 'Share' section of your registry page.
Registries shared via link can be listed on any wedding website platform, but if you're worried guest may miss the link we are happy to help you list items individually on your event site.
